VAD Tree WalkingThe VAD (Virtual Address Descriptor) tree is a kernel-internal structure that the memory manager uses to track all memory regions allocated in a process. Each VAD_NODE (which is actually a MMVAD structure in kernel terms) contains information about the region: its base address and size, its protection, whether it is file-backed (and if so, which file), and various flags.
